On April 13, 2014 at approximately 13:24 Hours the Readington Redcoats were dispatched with Raritan Twp. Fire Company and Three Bridges Fire Company to Fire box 2108 Level 3 for the reported structure fire at 16 Hillsborough Road in Raritan Twp. Readington was requested for Tower 32 since Tower 21 is out of service. Engine 33-4 arrived on location first due reporting a working fire with heavy fire and smoke showing from the exterior. Engine 33-4 crew stretched a 1.75 handline to the inside of the structure along with one to the exterior to attack the fire. Squad 21 and Quint 21 arrived assisting with the fire suppression. Tower 32 with a full crew arrived and set up ground ladders around the structure and assisted with ventilation/overhaul. The fire started on the rear exterior of the house and extended into the attic. Command requested the South County Tender Task force with no hydrants in the area. The fire was knocked by the 30 minute mark which vent was then in progress. Tower 32 remained on scene assisting for about 3 hours. Great stop by Engine 33-4 crews and 21 Fire crews. Ceilings and walls were pulled inside with not much extension except for the attic. Tower 32 cleared at 16:22 hours.
